The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server administration, cloud database technologies, PowerShell automation, and database optimization.Key Responsibilities:Review and comply with organizational policies and proceduresPerform database administration, maintenance, enhancement, and performance tuningDesign and maintain logical and physical database models and data dictionariesConfigure SQL Server environments across physical servers, VMs, and cloud infrastructureDevelop and maintain backup and recovery strategies across hybrid environmentsImplement security controls including TDE, data masking, and Row-Level SecurityMonitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and locking/blocking issuesAutomate database and infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, dbatools, and Cloud CLIsSupport Azure SQL, Managed Instances, AWS RDS SQL Server, and hybrid connectivityPerform database migrations from on-premises to cloud platformsCreate and maintain test database environments and disaster recovery proceduresCollaborate with development and infrastructure teams on deployments and database improvementsAssist with CI/CD schema deployments and database versioning initiativesRequired Skills & Experience:3–5 years of SQL Server Database Administration experienceStrong experience with backup & recovery strategies in hybrid environmentsExperience configuring SQL Server on physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructureHands-on expertise with:Performance tuningQuery optimizationIndex managementLocking/blocking resolutionExperience implementing:Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)Data maskingRow-Level SecurityProficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation toolsExperience with:Azure SQL DatabaseAzure Managed InstanceAWS RDS SQL ServerKnowledge of hybrid infrastructure connectivity and cloud database administrationExperience with database monitoring, integrity checks, and maintenance automationUnderstanding of database structures, systems design, and data modeling conceptsPreferred Skills:Cloud migration experience using Azure Database Migration Service or AWS SMSExperience with CI/CD and schema deployment tools:Azure DevOpsGitHub ActionsFlywayRedgateMulti-tenant database environment experienceEducation & Knowledge:Experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming workStrong understanding of:Database technologiesComputer programming conceptsSystems designData processing techniquesProject control methodologies
