Construction Estimator

Trueline's client, a long-standing commercial construction and construction management firm, is seeking an Estimator to join their team in Goldens Bridge, NY. This role will support preconstruction, bidding, estimating, subcontractor coordination, and buyout for a stable, growth-oriented company with strong internal tenure and high visibility across leadership and operations.What You'll Do as the Estimator:Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate estimatesPrepare quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, conceptual budgets, and bid packagesBuild and manage subcontractor and vendor bid listsSolicit, compare, and level subcontractor and vendor proposalsReview bid requirements including bonding, insurance, MWBE goals, logistics, phasing, and safety needsAttend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as neededAssist with preliminary schedules, value engineering, and cost-saving recommendationsSupport final bid submissions, clarifications, subcontract negotiations, purchase orders, and buyout trackingPartner with preconstruction, operations, and leadership to ensure a smooth project handoffEstimator Requirements:7-10+ years of estimating or commercial construction experienceStrong understanding of commercial construction scopes, cost control, budgeting, and subcontractor managementExperience managing multiple bids at onceAbility to take projects from takeoff through buyoutStrong communication skills with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholdersProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with estimating/takeoff tools such as OnCenter Takeoff and Timberline EstimatingNice-to-Haves as the Estimator:Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related fieldExperience with public, institutional, healthcare, education, senior living, or complex renovation projectsFamiliarity with MWBE requirements, bonding, insurance review, and public bid processesExperience contributing to schedules, logistics plans, and phasing strategiesOur Client Offers:Stable, full-time opportunity with a respected construction firmHigh-impact role tied directly to pipeline growth and project successCollaborative preconstruction and operations environmentStrong long-term employee tenure and succession planningVisibility across leadership, preconstruction, and operationsMarket-based compensation aligned with experienceTrueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
