Scheduling Coordinator

Job TitlePay Range: $28.00hr - $32.00hrRequirement/Must HaveHigh School diploma is required.Knowledgeable and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of patient and client information.Ability to become proficient in EMR and various IT systems is required.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Professional appearance.ResponsibilitiesClosely monitor patients throughout various transplant phases to assure completion of required testing and services.Validate financial clearance for services being scheduled.Provide stellar customer service when interfacing with patients in person and over the phone to establish appointments.Alert clinicians when patient testing is complete or when patients are non-compliant in completing medical services.Coordinate collection of testing results and provider notes.Coordinate care with ancillary departments as needed.Problem-solve in real time and provide appropriate direction and support to patients and staff as they relate to appointment scheduling and monitoring the completion of requested/required services.Participate in team meetings and discussions related to complex cases, advancing operational throughput and process improvement to benefit patient care.Evaluate and analyze information, patient charts, and physician notes to effectively schedule patient care and communicate outcomes to others.Act as the non-clinical patient care coordinator to assure patients are being effectively cared for and managed to be compliant with transplant requirements and physician-directed care.Nice To HaveAssociates or Bachelors degree is strongly preferred.Experience in the medical field, including scheduling and transplant, preferred.Content knowledge of medical terminology and transplant process preferred.Bilingual skills are strongly preferred.SkillsAnalytical skills.EMR proficiency.Medical terminology.Appointment scheduling.Customer service.Problem-solving.HIPAA compliance.Qualification And EducationHigh School diploma.Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and provide effective resolutions.
