OverviewWe are seeking skilled Robot Programmers to support advanced bin picking automation projects. This role focuses on integrating cutting-edge 3D vision systems with robotic platforms, programming complex pick routines, and supporting full system commissioning. Ideal candidates are hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in robotic vision integrations within manufacturing environments.DetailsLocation: Onsite, Lake Orion, MISchedule: Standard DayPay Rate: $33.65/hourContract duration: 6 months - possibility for conversion to direct hire ResponsibilitiesIntegrate and configure 3D vision systems (Photoneo, Keyence, Matrox) for bin picking applicationsProgram robot paths including pick, place, reject, and complex motion sequencesPerform vision system calibration, localization setup, and EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) configurationSupport full lifecycle commissioning, including hardware setup and system testingEstablish communication between robots, vision systems, and PLCsCollaborate with PLC teams to debug and transition systems to automatic operationOptimize bin picking performance through tuning and troubleshootingDevelop and validate grasping methods for various part typesRequired QualificationsStrong experience with robot programming and path teachingHands-on experience with 3D vision systems (Photoneo, Keyence, or similar)Knowledge of bin picking processes and automation challengesExperience with system calibration, EOAT setup, and commissioningAbility to troubleshoot and optimize robotic and vision systemsExperience working with PLC programmers and industrial automation teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Matrox imaging and multi-face detection setupsFamiliarity with Ethernet communication and system integrationBackground in electrical/electronic systems assembly and testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience in automotive or manufacturing environments
