Temp - Food Services - Cook (Days) Traverse City MI

PRIMARY DUTYCook will follow all applicable procedures to clean, prepare, and cook large batches of food that will be served to residents and guests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Cleans, cuts, prepares, and cooks meat, fish, or poultry to a safe temperature. Prepares and cooks various items according to menus, special dietary or nutritional requirements, or numbers of portions to be served. Adhere to food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety codes/procedures. Bakes breads, rolls, and pastries. Apportions and serves food to residents and guests. Comply with all policies and procedures. Performs other duties as directed. Requirement description : High School diploma or equivalent; no dietary experience required. Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred. Must be able to relate professionally and positively with staff and healthcare facility executives utilizing excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and management skills. Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend On Call Requirements : None
