Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Office/DOT Compliance Officer to ensure our transportation operations adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards. In this vital role, you will oversee compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, OSHA standards, and other federal and state safety requirements. Your expertise will help foster a safe working environment, mitigate risks within our logistics and supply chain activities, and ensure regulatory reporting is accurate and timely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining operational excellence while promoting safety across our transportation and freight management functions. Responsibilities Monitor and enforce compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, FDA regulations related to transportation, and other relevant safety policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across logistics, freight, fleet management, and transportation operations. Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols, training programs, and compliance management systems to promote a culture of safety. Manage regulatory reporting requirements accurately and efficiently, including incident reports, safety audits, and compliance documentation. Oversee fleet management practices to ensure vehicle safety standards are met and maintained. Collaborate with logistics teams to identify potential hazards in supply chain processes and develop corrective action plans. Prepare detailed report writing on safety performance metrics, incident investigations, and compliance status for internal review and regulatory agencies. Experience Proven experience in safety management within logistics or transportation industries. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, DOT compliance standards, FDA regulations related to freight handling or transportation of regulated products. Familiarity with freight operations, fleet management systems, and transportation management software. Experience in regulatory reporting, risk management strategies, and compliance management practices. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex safety information clearly. Prior involvement in supply chain or logistics environments is highly desirable.
