DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYPRN Crisis Recovery Specialist works collaboratively as part of the Mobile Crisis Response Team, responding to mental health crises in adults and children within St. Clair County during evening, weekend and holiday hours. The PRN Crisis Recovery Specialist helps establish rapport, share experiences and strengthen engagement with the person experiencing a crisis. You will be relied on to provide clients with resourceful information and support in a variety of settings. The Crisis Recovery Specialist will model competence to their clients, through their own personal experiences, in successful self-recovery.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesUtilize lived experience to build rapport with clients in crisis. Ensure you/team responds within 60 minutes to the location of a behavioral health crisis.Communicate effectively within a team environment to meet the needs of those experiencing behavioral health crisis.Maintain compliance with COA and other regulatory agency requirements.Ensure that all documentation is completed timely and accurately.At the time of crisis, provide support and resources to assist individuals in becoming involved in their own mental health and / or substance abuse recovery process so they might develop personalized action plans for their own mental, emotional, physical and social health.RequirementsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSStrong organizational and time management skills.Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.Excellent engagement skills.Must possess the knowledge, personal qualities and practice skills to work effectively with professionals in other organizations and from other disciplines and to provide services in a manner that reflects understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism.Must meet DCFS/CANTS Clearance Requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain proof of automobile insurance.Education And/Or ExperienceMust have personal lived experience.Must live in the Metro East Area.High School Diploma, GED or higher education.Have or obtain Certified Recovery Support Specialist status within one year of hire.The ability and willingness to actively participate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.Previous mobile crisis response experience preferred.CARE & TCIHoyleton has adopted the CARE (Children and Residential Experience), developed by Cornell University, to guide our culture and practice.
