This company, which is experiencing consistent growth, is renowned in the Southeast market with regards to their bread-and-butter project type -Tilt-Wall Industrial. They are headquartered in Birmingham, however have four offices total across Alabama and Texas. This role will primarily report to and work from he HQ office in Birmingham, however will visit sites up to 50% of the time in order to manage the safety processes. Job Description The Safety Manager will:Perform daily safety inspections on an active industrial construction site; document and report findings using company safety platforms.Ensure compliance with company's safety policies, OSHA standards, and project-specific safety plans by all workers and subcontractors.Conduct and document daily pre-task safety meetings and ensure completion of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) or DAHA forms.Monitor high-risk activities including heat work, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, crane lifts, elevated work, and excavation.Oversee proper PPE use and promote safe work practices throughout the jobsite, especially in high-hazard industrial environments.Lead safety meetings or stand-downs as needed to address critical issues or reinforce important safety messages.Coordinate with construction management, subcontractors, and outside safety entities to foster a proactive and engaged safety culture.Manage and maintain QR code-based safety systems, including SDS access, emergency contacts, rally points, and digital safety forms.Participate in and support incident investigations, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up with the Safety Director.Facilitate onboarding and safety orientation sessions; deliver or assist with bilingual training where needed MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant The successful Safety Manager will have the following:Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, or a related field or relevant experience in the construction industry.5-10 Years of Experience in a Commercial or Industrial Safety RoleOSHA 30 certification is required. Candidates who do not currently hold this certification will complete the OSHA 30 training upon hire.
