This position is a subject‑matter operator role and does not include staff supervision. The role supports branch operations, digital banking, accounting, and compliance by ensuring deposit functions are properly executed and documented in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties as assigned)Process daily deposit operations including ACH, wires, check/item processing, debit card activity, mobile/remote deposit, and account maintenanceReview and resolve exception items (NSF, returns, adjustments, stop payments)Perform general ledger balancing and reconcile deposit‑related suspense accountsSupport Regulation E, Reg D, Reg CC, NACHA, OFAC, and internal compliance requirementsRespond to branch and internal inquiries; research and resolve customer account issuesMaintain accurate documentation, logs, and record retention in accordance with policyAssist with audits and examinations by compiling support and responding to requestsParticipate in testing for system upgrades, product changes, and process enhancementsMaintain procedures and job aids for assigned functionsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneQualification StandardsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred2-3 years of deposit operations or banking back‑office experience preferredWorking knowledge of core banking systems and payment platformsStrong attention to detail; ability to work independently and meet deadlinesSolid understanding of deposit regulations and operational risk controlsEquipment, Machines, And Software UsedBasic Equipment and Machinery: Basic personal computer skills that include the ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing, bookkeeping, and/or data entry. Ability to create spreadsheets, graphics, and reports using standard software applications.Ability to operate a computer, printer, scanner, copier, facsimile machine, telephone, adding machine, postage meter and calculator.Computer Software: Ability to utilize word-processing, excel spreadsheet, banking software and Adobe Acrobat with the willingness to learn new software as necessary.Physical And Mental RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this position, the Deposit Operations Specialist may be required to, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.The physical requirements of this position may call for the ability to lift, move, push, pull, or otherwise exert up to 10-15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, performing accounting duties, using a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading.Environmental ConditionsThere is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
