Platform Developer – AIOverviewOur agent ecosystem is growing faster than the platform supporting it. While the Lightspeed program has proven AI can rapidly deliver production systems and automation, those efforts expose a clear gap in the underlying platform—deployment, tooling, APIs, and runtime management. We’re hiring a Platform Developer to build and own that foundation. In this role, you’ll make the ecosystem stable, scalable, and reusable by developing the shared tooling, infrastructure, and automation that all agents rely on. Operating at the intersection of AI and platform engineering, you’ll focus on building durable solutions—ensuring agents deploy cleanly, integrations remain maintainable, and automation scales without fragmentation.Key ResponsibilitiesAgent Runtime and Tooling InfrastructureOwn the shared Python script library that underpins Confluence, Jira, and Dynatrace integrations — auth patterns, SSL context management, REST helpers, error handling conventionsBuild and maintain the scaffolding that new agent types are generated from (session startup, context loading, tool access patterns, output schemas)Standardize how agents write, read, and manage files in C:/Temp/ and persistent storage — naming conventions, JSON schemas, lifecycle managementDeployment and CI/CD for AI WorkloadsBuild the CI pipeline integrations that execute agent-driven gates (coverage, vulnerability, SRE readiness) as blocking checks before mergeImplement the exit-code conventions and JSON report schemas that gate scripts emit, so CI can act on them reliablyOwn the environment and dependency management for the Python agent scripts: pinned versions, packaging, distribution to developer machines and CI runnersAPI and Integration PlatformMaintain and evolve the REST API patterns for Confluence Cloud (Basic auth, Cloud HTML sanitization rules, version conflict handling) and on-prem Jira (Bearer PAT, CA cert, pagination)Build reusable integration modules that any agent or script can import rather than re-implementExtend MCP server configurations as new tool needs are identified; manage settings and permission profiles across the Claude Code harnessDeveloper ExperienceReduce the friction for teams onboarding to the Lightspeed framework — templates, init scripts, documentation, and the CLAUDE.md / knowledge core content that makes new agents immediately productiveBuild the tooling that validates agent behavior against the manifest and behavioral rules before a new agent type shipsOwn the C:/Temp/ workspace conventions, script naming standards, and output file lifecycle so the pipeline components stay composableQualificationsRequired4+ years in platform, developer tools, or infrastructure engineeringStrong Python — you write clean, reusable library code, not just scriptsExperience owning shared tooling or internal SDKs used by other developersSolid understanding of REST API patterns: auth, pagination, error handling, retries, versioningStrongly PreferredExperience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar) with custom gates and quality checksFamiliarity with the Anthropic Claude API, Claude Code, or MCP server configurationExperience with Confluence or Jira REST APIs — both Cloud and on-prem variants are a plusPython packaging, dependency management (Poetry or pip with pinned requirements), and distribution to mixed environmentsComfort reading and writing JSON schema definitions and designing file-based data contracts between pipeline componentsDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
