Title - Teacher - April Middle School Acceleration Academy Teacher for STEM *This position has 11 openings including one "Specials" educator, and 2 ML positionsGeneral Duties:The April Acceleration Academy Teacher for STEM responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:Compliance with DESE set standards for Acceleration Academy InstructionCommunication/collaboration with applicable staff and stakeholders, specifically their direct Program SupervisorsParticipation in the Chelsea based PD for Acceleration Academies (see schedule below)Creation and implementation of instructional unitsCreation/collaboration of curricular resources/scope and sequenceCompliance with any and all special education requirements if applicableNote: These are minimum requirements. Teachers may expand upon any of these duties as they see fit, but must meet these daily requirements.Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a current educator in the CPS Middle Schools. Previous experience with Acceleration Academies is preferred.Compensation: $3,000 StipendDates/Time: April Acceleration Academy work and planning includes, but is not limited to, the February Acceleration schedule which is:Tuesday April 23rd - Friday April 24th, from 8AM-2:30PMChelsea based virtual 2 hr PD (date and time tbd)Reports To: Malik Howshan, Officer of Innovation, Access, and Opportunities and their direct Program Supervisors
