Quality Engineer Location: Comer, GeorgiaFind out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.Shift: First ShiftOverview We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives within a composites manufacturing environment serving automotive, medical, and defense industries.This role is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet customer and internal quality standards while supporting production, problem-solving, and process improvement activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, manufacturing quality experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable and expanding manufacturing operation.Key Responsibilities Support daily manufacturing quality activities across production operationsLead root cause analysis and corrective action activities using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and FishboneReview and maintain quality documentation including control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and inspection standardsInvestigate customer, supplier, and internal quality concerns and drive resolution activitiesMonitor production quality metrics and identify opportunities for improvementSupport APQP, PPAP, First Article Inspections, and launch activitiesWork closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce defectsAnalyze scrap, rework, and non-conformance trends to improve manufacturing performanceConduct audits and support compliance with IATF 16949 quality standardsAssist with inspection methods, gauge validation, and process capability studiesSupport training and quality awareness initiatives throughout productionMaintain accurate records within ERP and QMS systemsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred2+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality roleExperience within automotive, composites, plastics, or manufacturing environments preferredUnderstanding of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis methodsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsExperience using measuring and inspection equipmentStrong xhyhwjd communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyProficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting toolsWhat We're Looking For A proactive engineer with a continuous improvement mindsetSomeone who enjoys solving manufacturing and quality challengesStrong attention to detail and accountabilityA team-oriented professional comfortable working on the production floorWork Environment Comer, GeorgiaFirst ShiftManufacturing and office environmentOccasional overtime based on production and customer demandsCompensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid time off and holidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesStable and growing manufacturing environment
