Accounting Manager (Effective the 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
SUMMARY
Performs professional accounting functions supporting the district's financial accounting and reporting activities under the direction of the Senior Accounting Manager. Responsible for day-to-day accounting analysis, reconciliations, reporting preparation, and technical accounting support to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with adherence to applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, District policies and internal controls. Promotes sound financial management across the district through accurate financial reporting and financial management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field
AND
Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience in the public sector or governmental accounting.
OR
Six (6) years of professional accounting experience
One (1) year of supervisory experience
One (1) year of customer service experience
Knowledge and experience with governmental ERP systems like Oracle, Tyler, SAP, Infinite Visions or similar.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and governmental auditing standards.
Knowledge and ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience in School District or governmental accounting functions.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Managers (CGFM) or Certified Administrator of School Finance & Operations (SFO).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Location: District Office - 1010 E Tenth St
Classification: Non-Bargaining Exempt
FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
This Position will begin ON or AFTER July 1st, 2026
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
