Our work focuses on promoting self-sufficiency, wellness, and access to resources through initiatives such as Éxito Wellness (Youth & Family Program), women's empowerment groups, and holistic support services.Position Overview Centro Hispano de Frederick is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Emotional Support Specialist to provide culturally responsive emotional wellness support to children, parents, and families participating in our Éxito Wellness Program and other community initiatives.The Éxito Wellness Program is a STEAM-based youth and family program with a strong emphasis on social-emotional well-being, designed to support both academic enrichment and holistic family wellness. This role will work closely alongside the Éxito program to ensure participants receive integrated emotional support services that complement educational and enrichment activities.This position will focus on trauma-informed care, family support, group facilitation, and resource navigation, with an emphasis on serving Spanish-speaking immigrant communities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one emotional support sessions for children, parents, and families in Spanish and EnglishCollaborate with Éxito staff to integrate wellness into programmingConduct check-ins with families identified as needing supportServe as a bridge to community resources and partnersCoordinate with in-house Case Manager and refer clients as neededFollow up with families to ensure connection to servicesFacilitate workshops, including a women's trauma support groupLead parent workshops on emotional wellnessMaintain documentation and support outreach effortsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (preferred)Experience in mental health or wellness programsExperience with immigrant families preferredFluency in Spanish and English requiredExperience with trauma-informed care and group facilitation preferredWork Schedule Part time to full-time (20 to 40 hours/week), will include evenings#J-18808-Ljbffr
