Finance & Accounting Manager (Japanese Speaking)

Japan-focused Venture Capital Fund in the SF Bay Area is on the market for an Investor Relations Manager who will be responsible for the account management of limited partners (\"LP\") based in Japan. The individual will report to the Director and will also work across the firm’s investment professionals, operating groups, finance, legal and compliance team members in coordinating the capital formation and investor relations activities.Fluency in Japanese RequiredResponsibilitiesMaintain and enhance existing LP relationships, including appropriate reporting and IRL/online eventIssue LP quarterly reports which includes consolidated investment write-ups which will be fine-tuned in JapaneseAssist in the execution of the firm’s quarterly and annual LP events, including drafting key messages/materials and overseeing event-related details (IRL/online) to enable takeaways, connections and networking opportunitiesGenerate reports to Japan FSA (Financial Service Agency) and SECCDesign and produce financial analyses to support investor communications.Collect market intelligence and perform ongoing research of the venture capital industry, including industry best practices and relevant venture market data.Interface with portfolio companies and review financial statements and submit reportsManage the closing of older fundsQualificationsBachelor's degree5+ years of accounting experienceFluent in Japanese, proficient in reading & writingInvestor relation and/or venture capital experience NOT required but helpfulUnderstanding of Japanese work culture and experience at a Japanese Corporation is helpfulAbility to travel to Japan once or twice a yearAdditional:$150k to $200k base + 20% target bonuses + Full Benefits 2 day WFH schedule
