Remote Encoder Technician

For our client, we are seeking a Remote Encoder Technician to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a Media environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $114,400 – $166,400 annuallyResponsibilities Manage transmission and telecom services for ESPN remote events Plan and integrate operational aspects for events in coordination with various departments Disseminate work order information timely to all relevant stakeholders Provide on-site support for transmission and telecommunications at venues Conduct site surveys and prepare pre-event plans for remote events Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telecom services and equipment Ensure vendor compliance with ESPN's technical standards Complete assigned special projects as needed Travel for on-site event support during evenings and weekendsQualifications 5+ years experience in broadcast or technical operations including remote transport systems Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Proven ability to work independently under tight deadlines Detail-oriented with a focus on operational excellence Knowledgeable in production workflow and telecom servicesBenefits Remote work flexibility Opportunities for travel to exciting sporting events Collaborative environment with a focus on operational excellence Exposure to cutting-edge technology in the broadcasting industryOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
