Financial Aid & Student Accounts Coordinator

Reports to: Vice President for Business AffairsCompensation:This position will be effective July 1, 2026, with an annual salary of $45,000 plus benefits.Duties: The Financial Aid & Student Accounts Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of student financial services, including but not limited to:Serve as the primary point of contact for students regarding financial aid, tuition billing, payments, and account balances, providing clear and timely customer service.Administer and process federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, including FAFSA assistance, verification, packaging, and award adjustments in compliance with applicable regulations.Maintain accurate student financial aid and account records within the student information system, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation.Process tuition charges, payments, refunds, and credit balances, coordinating with the business office and controller to ensure timely and accurate posting.Assist students with entrance counseling and loan requirements, including communication of responsibilities and deadlines.Monitor student account balances, assist with payment plans where applicable, and communicate proactively regarding overdue balances or required actions.Ensure compliance with FERPA, Title IV, and other applicable federal and state regulations, supporting audits, reviews, and accreditation reporting as needed.Coordinate financial information with Admissions, Registrar, and Business Office staff to ensure accurate enrollment, billing, and aid disbursement.Prepare routine reports and reconciliations related to financial aid awards, student accounts, and deposits for review by the Controller or designated supervisor.Provide general administrative support to student financial services operations, including correspondence, document tracking, and assistance with special projects as assigned.Other administrative tasks as assignedPreparation and KnowledgeAssociate or bachelor's degree in a related field (recommended).Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, donor database, and management experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills.Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with attention to detail.Clarity and accuracy in communication.Ability to independently organize and prioritize work with little supervision
