JOB SUMMARYThe Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Thread of Life Thrift Store, ensuring excellent customer service and an optimal shopping experience.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSReceive and sort all donationsCoordinate and direct volunteers in conjunction with the Development & Communications teamMaintain product inventories to include pricing of items and merchandising displaysOperate Point of Sale (POS) system, processing all transactions accuratelyOperate store social media pageConduct research and post items to e-commerce pagesProcess daily cash depositsMaintain cleanliness of store; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shoveling, etc.Abide by all Mission, program and safety policies, procedures and guidelines.Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings as requested by supervisor.Complete annual mandated trainings.All other duties as requested by supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Two years experience working in a retail setting preferredProficient skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookEnthusiastic support of our Mission Statement.Valid NYS Drivers License requiredStatus/Hours: Part Time 24 hours per week- Thursday-Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm Pay Rate: $17.50-18.00 hourly Benefits: We offer a competitive pay rate and comprehensive benefit package for eligible employees to include medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holidays and paid training.
