Maintenance Technician
Position: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Menomonee Falls, WIShift:Pay:Position SummaryThe Maintenance T echnician performs a variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain , troubleshoot and repair production machinery, perform preventative maintenance , and p erform maintenance on building and grounds as needed. This position reports directly to th e Operations Manager and in cooperation with the Maintenance Department Lead.Essential Job Functions (Job-Specific Knowledge/Skills )Troubleshoot machines and equipment that have mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control parts.Perform maintenance and repair work to minimize production downtime.Perform preventative maintenance, system checks and equipment inspections as scheduled.Maintain necessary inventories of p arts used to ensure minimal downtime of equipment.Assist with moving and installing equipment. Disconnect and reconnect service to machines.Manufacture or procure repaired/ replacement equipment and parts.Operate ma nual machine shop equipment / tools and/or welding equipment for maintenance repairs.Become familiar with all applicable safety programs and follow prescribed procedures.Qualifications (Expertise in Discipline)5+ years of industrial maintenance experience requiredGood mechanical ability and some familiarity with electrical maintenanceAble to read and interpret drawings and specifications used in equipment repairsFamiliar with hand/power tools and gages , meters, etc.Some troubleshooting skills for controllers and/or PLCs preferredA high-school diploma or GEDSome formal education and/or certificates in the trades is preferredGood interpersonal skills, service and team orientationAmericans with Disability SpecificationsPHYSICALThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
