Position Overview
Extron seeks an AV Systems Design Engineer to support its base of professional audiovisual integrators and engineers. In this role, you will assist customers with AV system designs, product training, commissioning, and technical support. You will also work with sales as a technical advisor for Extron product applications.
Responsibilities
Assist customers in developing Extron AV system designs and documentation
Review AV system RFPs and develop accurate bills of material
Commission advanced Extron AV solutions
Conduct onsite product demonstrations
Serve as the escalation point for onsite troubleshooting of AV systems
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred
5+ years of experience developing system designs for professional A/V systems
Experience conducting onsite commissioning for professional A/V systems
Experience supporting and troubleshooting professional A/V system installations
Knowledge of technologies used in professional A/V systems
Certifications such as CTS or CTS-D, XTP-E, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA are a plus
Familiarity with AutoCAD or Visio is a plus
Expertise in MS Suite—including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point—required
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to deliver concise presentations to small and large groups
Travel required up to 40%
Compensation
Salary range: $110,000-$140,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
