API Developer / Implementation Specialist
Role Description This part-time remote role as an API Developer / Implementation Specialist at EAD Videoaulas focuses on integrating and customizing APIs to support the company’s digital learning platforms and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing integration requirements, designing and implementing API connections, and configuring systems to ensure data flows reliably between internal and external applications. The role involves writing clean, well-documented code, troubleshooting integration issues, and collaborating with product, support, and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. The specialist will also create technical documentation, provide implementation guidance to clients or internal stakeholders, and help optimize performance, security, and scalability of API-based solutions.Qualifications Strong experience with API development, integration, and RESTful/JSON-based services, including authentication and security best practices.Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or similar) and familiarity with version control tools like Git.Knowledge of databases and data modeling (SQL and/or NoSQL) and comfort working with web technologies and cloud-based environments.Ability to gather requirements, map workflows, and translate business processes into technical specifications and implementation plans.Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to test, debug, and optimize integrations in production-like environments.Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document APIs, write implementation guides, and support non-technical stakeholders.Experience working remotely and managing time effectively in a part-time capacity, with a proactive and collaborative approach.Previous work with e-learning platforms, SaaS products, or educational technology is a plus; a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience is beneficial.
