Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-Time Small Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair lawn care equipment. This role is essential in keeping our fleet of mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment operating safely and efficiently during peak service days.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on small engines and lawn care equipmentService commercial mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and related toolsConduct routine oil changes, blade sharpening, belt replacements, tire repairs, and engine tune-upsTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issuesMaintain organized shop area and proper tool inventoryDocument repairs and maintenance performedEnsure equipment is ready for daily field operationsAssist with equipment pickup or delivery if neededQualificationsPrevious experience working on small engines or lawn equipment requiredAbility to diagnose mechanical issues independentlyBasic knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle enginesStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environmentValid driver's license preferredWork SchedulePart-time: Friday, Saturday, SundayHours may vary based on seasonal workloadCompensationHourly pay based on experienceOpportunity for additional hours during peak seasonsPreferred TraitsDependable and punctualSelf-motivatedTeam-oriented attitudeInterest in landscaping or outdoor equipment
