Custodial Worker
Environmental Service Worker Under close supervision with detailed instructions, you will be responsible for maintaining building, ground, and office areas in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. You will perform a combination of routine duties including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and polishing. Responsibilities Clean assigned areas according to established standards. Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum offices, hallways, and entrances. Polish furniture, fixtures, or trimmings. Report items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction to supervisor. Follow established antiseptic techniques and use appropriate solutions to clean and wash fixtures and restrooms. Gather and dispose of trash, and wash waste containers. Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company. Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Clean carpets if required. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Essential Skills At least 6 months of janitorial experience in a commercial space. Ability to use cleaning equipment and solutions. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work independently. Valid driver's license as it may be required to drive a golf cart or company vehicle to travel to different buildings within the campus. High School diploma or equivalent. US Citizenship due to the nature of the work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in janitorial work within a commercial environment is preferred. Familiarity with antiseptic cleaning techniques. Why Work Here? The candidate will work the first shift from 4 am to 1:30 pm on a 9/80 schedule, with no overtime. The work environment is clean and well-maintained, with no manufacturing done at this facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
