Part-Time Business Development Representative, SAGECare
SAGE is the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources for LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people, and provides cultural competency training for aging providers and LGBTQ+ organizations, largely through its National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging and its growing social enterprise SAGECare.
SAGEVenture is SAGE’s newly launched social enterprise division—an incubator for innovative products and services that focus on LGBTQ+ older adults and build sustainable funding models. SAGEVenture has a growing portfolio, including launching a new healthcare product, expanding its cornerstone SAGECare product, providing culturally competent training for providers, and exploring additional ventures that advance its mission and purpose.
Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated part-time Business Development Representative to join the SAGECare team. The ideal candidate will schedule appointments with potential clients and maintain a positive relationship with clients for sales goals. The Business Development Representative will work closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure that all appointments are scheduled promptly and efficiently to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly objectives.
Responsibilities:
Provide the highest level of customer service to exceed sales goals
Assist in conducting research on market trends, customer leads and overall landscape
Make outbound calls to potential clients to schedule discovery calls
Responsible for hitting weekly goal of cold calls
Maintain accurate records of all discovery calls scheduled and utilize CRM for tracking
Provide excellent customer service to potential clients
Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to ensure that all discovery calls are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner
Participate in the pricing process when needed ensuring customer deadlines are met and their requests are prioritized
Respond precisely and in a timely manner to customer requests
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in customer-facing roles or similar roles
Proven track record of cold calling in a sales setting
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to LGBTQ+ and aging issues
Demonstrated commitment to SAGE’s organizational values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion
Experience in networking and working in conference booths.
Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pardot, Canva and/or MailChimp, and Salesforce CRM
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of one year of experience

Status: Part-Time 25 hours a week Location: Remote p/t 25 Schedule: M-F 9-2 EST (hours are adjustable)
Location: Remote with 10-15% travel to meetings, conferences, and Washington D.C.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 5: 30 pm EST
Salary Range: $27,600 – $33,000 including bonus
Reports to: SAGECare Business Development Manager
