DDD Onboarding and Training Specialist

ASG Home Care - Position Overview for a DDD Onboarding and Training SpecialistASG Home Care is seeking a highly experienced NJ DDD professional to serve as our Field-Based DDD Onboarding and Training Specialist. This is a senior-level, as-needed position responsible for onboarding and training family members and loved ones who are becoming Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) under the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).This role works directly with agency leadership and represents the agency in the field. The ideal candidate understands NJ DDD systems at the operational and compliance levels — not entry-level DSP experience — and is confident in guiding families through onboarding, training, and certification requirements.This position starts on a per-need basis and is expected to grow into a larger role as case volume expands.Core Responsibilities as a DDD Onboarding and Training Specialist Conduct in-person onboarding sessions for family-hired DSPs across New JerseyEducate families on NJ DDD Supports Program expectations and service documentation standardsEnsure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with NJ DDD requirementsProvide CPR & First Aid certification training as a certified instructorReview policies, compliance standards, and expectations with newly hired family DSPsAssist families in understanding EVV, service notes, and billing-related documentationServe as the agency's field representative and maintain a professional presenceCommunicate directly with leadership regarding onboarding status, compliance issues, and readiness to start servicesTravel within assigned counties or statewide as neededRequired Qualifications as a DDD Onboarding and Training SpecialistMinimum 3+ years of higher-level NJ DDD experience (supervisory, compliance, program management, or similar)Strong working knowledge of NJ DDD Supports Program and Medicaid service structureCPR & First Aid Instructor Certification (active and in good standing) — requiredExperience in onboarding or supervising DSPsStrong documentation and compliance knowledgeComfortable working independently in the fieldProfessional communication skillsReliable transportation and willingness to travel within New JerseyPreferred QualificationsExperience with EVV systems (HHAeXchange or similar)Experience training or presenting to small groupsExperience supporting family-hired DSP modelsPosition StructureField-based roleFlexible scheduling based on onboarding demandPart-time/as-needed to startOpportunity to grow into expanded responsibilities as the agency scalesCompensation as a DDD Onboarding and Training Specialist$30–$40 per hour based on experienceMileage reimbursement or travel compensation structure will be discussed during the interviewIdeal Candidate ProfileThis role is not entry-level.
