Outside Sales Representative
We have an exciting opportunity for a customer centric Outside Sales Representative to develop sales across our portfolio of beautiful brands (Zoffany, Morris & Co, Sanderson and Harlequin) throughout the Connecticut & Westchester territory. Key Responsibilities: Continuously strive to increase sales through proactively developing relationships with interior designers, architects and local retailers throughout Connecticut and Westchester; conducting in person client visits and presentations and updating fabric libraries.Execute and drive strategic sales and business plan to achieve and exceed agreed sales targets within set expenditure budgets.Proactively identify new clients and grow existing clients.Develop strategic business plan for accounts in your territory to share with the National Sales Manager and SDG PresidentProvide excellent customer service by providing prompt follow through, creative solutions and consistent follow-up cadence across all orders, backorders, and CFA’s to maximize closures and drive revenue. Shine as a Brand Ambassador at industry events, networking with the community and entertaining clientsEnsure that all brands are fully and appropriately represented in line with brand values.Work closely with peers to optimise sales and representation.Complete regular analysis of sales information for future business development, weekly reporting of call logs and comprehensive monthly sales reports for your territory. Understanding and utilising appropriate social media in line with the Sanderson Design Group policy.Actively stay updated on interiors trends, market knowledge, innovations and provide feedback to UK teams, keeping the business fully informed of competitor activity.Help with customer complaints and inquiries as requested by Customer ServicesAssist in the NY showroom with clients, events or as needed and support peer learning. Qualifications Required:Undergraduate degree from accredited universityDriver’s licenseResides in the territoryExperience & Skills:Proven experience in a field sales role within the interiors industry is essential Self-motivated and ability to work independentlyPassion for design and trendsHigh level of taste in the field of interiorsAbility to travel with necessary materials throughout the territoryStrong negotiation and problem-solving skills Knowledge of terminology and specifications in the textile and wallcoverings field for residential and contractRelationships with designers, specifiers, and home retailers in the territoryStrong analytical and numerical skills. You can build and explain financial models and have strong spreadsheet skills. Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
