Senior Network Engineer
Overview
In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize AMD’s global network infrastructure to be resilient, scalable, and secure. You will lead architecture and engineering efforts across data center, campus, WAN, and cloud domains, collaborating with跨-functional teams to deliver reliable services. You will shape network modernization initiatives and develop automation to improve efficiency. This position offers visibility into high-impact infrastructure projects and the opportunity to drive strategic network decisions in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and support enterprise, campus, WAN, data center, and cloud networks to meet performance, scalability, and security goalsLead network architecture and deployment efforts for site growth, data center builds, and modernization projectsCreate high- and low-level network designs, implementation plans, standards, and runbooksServe as technical lead for routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and security integrationsTroubleshoot complex network issues and drive long-term corrective actionsCollaborate with Security, Server, Storage, Cloud, Facilities, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable servicesManage and optimize performance, resiliency, monitoring, capacity planning, and availability across locationsLead upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, and technology evaluations with minimal business impactDevelop automation and operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reliabilitySupport incident response and participate in outage investigations and restorationsCoordinate with service providers/vendors for circuits, services, and escalationsMaintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, standards, and runbooksEnsure compliance with security, change management, and governance processesMentor junior engineers and provide technical leadershipParticipate in on-call rotations for critical production issues
