MRO Inventory Specialist

Role And ResponsibilitiesIssues tools and supplies to shop staff.General tool crib management. Organizing and improving tool crib efficiency and minor maintenance of the tools.Inventory, store, and distribute hand tools and other equipment.Maintain tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage.Maintain inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system.Purchase tools, equipment and supplies needed by shop employees using vendors and catalogs. Keep track of invoices and monitor when products arrive and who is responsible for paying for them.Inspect tools and equipment on a regular basis to comply with company safety policies.Responsible for stocking job boxes weekly with consumables and tools needed for specific job needs.Inventory and inspect tools in job boxes monthly.Responsible for stocking and maintaining bolts bin.Perform Quarterly inventory of tool crib.Maintain a record of tools and warranty information and service as needed.Conduct price analysis for different products and make recommendations for purchasing, based on quality, lead-time, cost saving, etc.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand for long periods of time. Continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling tools.Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. without physical restrictions as needed.Must wear appropriate PPE when on the shop floor; such as safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety toe boots.Able to work in hot and cold environments during summer and winter months.
