Product Technology Manager Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., is looking for a Product Technology Manager to cover our west coast territory. Product Technology Managers are industry experts. They educate and support customers, specifying engineers, end users, and co-workers in the proper use of Reliable products. Internally, they support many departments including Product Development Engineering (PDE), Program Management Office (PMO), and inside and outside Sales.Department: Product TechnologyEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Las Vegas, NV (Remote)Workplace type: Fully remoteCompensation: $115,000 - $150,000 / yearHow You Will Help Answer technical questions on Reliable products submitted by telephone and emailPerform technical training for Reliable personnelAssist with creation and maintenance of technical documentationMeet with customers, specifying engineers, and end users to discuss the use, features, and benefits of Reliable productsProvide technical presentations to industry associations, customers, specifying engineers, and end usersPlan, develop, and execute hands-on and classroom training for sprinkler system designers and fittersProvide input on new products and product improvementsTroubleshoot Reliable productsRepresent Reliable at industry events (AFSA, NFPA, NFSA, SFPE, etc.)Directly support sales force as necessaryPromote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practice to your supervisorPerforms other duties as directedWhat You Will Bring Detailed understanding of NFPA standards and FM Global Loss Prevention Data SheetsExtensive knowledge of all types of fire sprinkler systems as well as design and installation practicesAbility to safely drive a pickup truck /trailer combination in excess of 15,000 lbsAbility to interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong presentation skills, including the ability to present to large groupsProficient in Microsoft Office Software and AutoCADWork Environment:Extensive national and some international travel by ground or air – approximately 50%; intermittentPhysical Demands:Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basisRegular travel by car, truck, and airAbility to assemble and build demonstration sprinkler systems, including steel piping, couplings, valves, sprinklers, and other devicesAbility to occasionally lift parts with weights up to 50 lbsSetup, attach, and detach a tandem bumper tow trailerOperate and maintain valve demonstration trailerMinimum Requirements:Associates degree in fire protection, mechanical technology or Related Field7+ years in fire sprinkler system design and installationCompensation: The base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD annually. The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this role.
