An experienced Special Education Teacher is needed in Cary, NC, for the 2025-2026 school year to support middle-grade students with exceptionalities. This full-time contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to 2-3 Exceptional Children Services (ECS) students in Resource ELA and Math classes.Key Responsibilities:Deliver specialized Resource ELA and Math instruction to middle-grade ECS studentsSupport academic skills and occupational skills classes tailored to student needsCollaborate with the existing full-time Exceptional Children's Teacher Assistant (ECTA) who has worked with the ECS students throughout the yearDevelop and maintain comprehensive, legally compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet student learning goalsMonitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly to ensure academic growthCommunicate effectively with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student successQualifications:Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with middle-grade studentsStrong background in teaching Resource ELA and Math to students with diverse learning needsDemonstrated ability to write clear, thorough, and compliant IEPsFamiliarity with academic and occupational skills programming for ECS studentsEffective collaboration and communication skills within a multidisciplinary environmentContract Details:Location: Cary, NCStart Date: April 1stEnd Date: June 5thFull-time position focused on supporting ECS students during the final months of the school year
