Body Shop Technician / Painter

We are always looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for helping our customers build the kind of success that Kenworth knows so well. JOB SUMMARYThe primary function of the Body Shop Technician/Painter is to perform body work, wreck repairs, spot paint and complete paint jobs on customer equipment in a superior and thorough mannerDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssists the Body Shop Manager with the care, storage and usage of all materials used in body work processes. Follows all safety standards set by applicable governmental guidelines, including state fire and health codes, and federal OSHA guidelines. Maintains a regular working knowledge and familiarity with all EPA and OSHA documentation as required by applicable government health and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.Performs work directed by Body Shop Manager in a timely and thorough manner. Maintains superior standard of workmanship in all services performed. Advises Body Shop Manager of any recommended changes in services ordered by customer.Determines if any further servicing should be recommended to customer, and communicates such recommendations to the Body Shop Manager.Maintains a level of training and experience with specialized materials, equipment, machinery, and body working techniques necessary for superior servicing of the customer's equipment. Attends training sessions as required from time to time by Body Shop Manager.Performs additional services required when any piece of equipment is returned by customer because of Body Shop Technician's faulty workmanship.QUALIFICATIONSAbility to read and comprehend instructions and informationHigh school diploma or the equivalentTwo years of experience as a vehicle body repairer or apprenticeWorking knowledge of body repair methodsValid driver's licenseAbility to interpret vendor catalogsBENEFITSWe offer a full benefits package with retirement and paid life insurance.
