Maternal-Fetal Medicine (Locum Tenens) Midlothian & Richmond, VA High-Risk OB Opportunity within a Premier Level III NICU Health System Are you a highly skilled MFM specialist looking for a meaningful locum tenens engagement? We are seeking Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physicians to provide critical coverage across two prominent sites in the Greater Richmond area. This role is essential for supporting high-risk pregnancies within a collaborative, two-provider service model during a key recruitment period. The Opportunity This position balances office-based consultations with inpatient coverage, focusing almost exclusively on high-risk maternal and fetal health. Clinical Scope: Manage a 95% high-risk patient population, including pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, and chromosomal/congenital abnormalities. Procedures: Proficiency in Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS), and fetal/maternal co-morbidities. Cerclage experience is preferred. Team Structure: You will be one of two providers, rotating between sites approximately 30 minutes apart. The clinics are supported by a dedicated Nurse Practitioner, RN clinic educators, sonographers, and genetic counselors. Technology & Tools: Onsite GE 10 ultrasound equipment; EMR documentation via EPIC and Viewpoint. Patient Volume: Average of 27 scheduled patients per day. Travel-Friendly: Excellent accessibility for travelers, with full reimbursement for flights, hotels, and rental cars. Compensation & TravelTravel Reimbursement: Comprehensive coverage including flights, hotel, and rental car. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Candidate Requirements To ensure the highest level of care for our high-risk patients, candidates must satisfy: Board Certification/Eligibility: Must be BC/BE in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Education: Completion of an MFM Fellowship is required. Licensure: Active Virginia State Medical License and BLS are required. Certifications: AIUM Certification is preferred. Documentation: A Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) is required at the time of presentation.
