The company is headquartered in Columbus, IN.JOB SUMMARY:This Tax Manager role is a key team resource with strong technical knowledge able to lead and assist in various tax areas.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and prepare federal and state income tax returnsReview federal and state estimated tax paymentsReview and prepare income tax provisions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRSAssist with various tax research and projectsPartner with entity controllers to identify tax opportunities and risksTax research and other special projectsTraining and mentoring of staffPerform other job-related duties as assignedEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting5 or more years of corporate tax experienceCPA required, public accounting experience preferredPrivate industry and manufacturing industry experience preferredSignificant state tax return compliance experience, including large unitary/consolidated state filingsDemonstrates excellent problem-solving skillsAbility to identify and initiate process improvementsAbility to meet deadlinesDetail orientedASC 740 reporting experienceAbility to effectively research technical tax issuesExperience with tax compliance and provision software (Corptax preferred)Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelEffective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills, problem solving skills and presentation skillsContinuously searching for the most efficient processes to improve tax operationsAbility to work independently, with latitude for initiative and independent judgmentAbility to maintain composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlinesTRAVEL:Occasional travel to affiliate locationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and communicate verbally and in writing. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate standard office equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and printer. Work will be performed in an open office environment with cubicles.
