Safety Manager
Shift: Day (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Overview
Manage the organization's safety programs to protect employees and the company across field and plant operations, service departments, and fleet management. Formulate and enforce work safety standards and procedures to prevent accidents, and other unsafe conditions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations, including a thorough understanding of California worker's compensation laws. Build strong relationships with internal leaders and customers to promote a culture of safety. Supervise safety support staff and advise management on corrective actions.
Technical Responsibilities
Manage a team of safety specialists across various business units, including installation, manufacturing, warehousing and fleet management.
Develop and manage the safety department’s budget, aligning with organizational goals.
Facilitate safety meetings and trainings across departments and lead two safety committees (Auto Review & Safety Improvement).
Oversee periodic review and updates of safety trainings and certifications.
Ensure safety supplies are maintained.
Conduct safety audits and develop reports on audit results, sharing findings with corporate leaders and safety committees.
Lead accident investigations and collaborate with department leaders to mitigate future risks.
Implement and oversee fleet safety management programs.
Administer and manage the OSHA 300 log to ensure accurate reporting of workplace injuries and illnesses.
Handle worker’s compensation cases, ensuring compliance with California laws and regulations.
Knowledge of California-specific safety regulations and compliance standards is essential.

Training/Certification and Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
4-6 years of relevant experience in safety management, with a focus on construction, manufacturing, and fleet operations.
OSHA certifications and CSP designation preferred.
Proficiency in managing OSHA 300 logs and understanding California worker’s compensation laws.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety.
Preferred knowledge in Lean Manufacturing methods and approaches to problem solving.

Travel to construction jobsites located in the Greater Sacramento and Northern Central Valley Region.

Pay: $46.68 - $63.48 per hour
