Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.Come build a career you believe in.About The RoleAs a Rafter End Welder at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, this role plays a key part in ensuring safe and efficient production operations by setting up, calibrating, and operating high-speed, robotic-enabled equipment to form or cut steel to precise specifications. This position supports quality, productivity, and continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.What You’ll DoOperate and calibrate high-speed equipment with robotic elements to meet production specifications and quality standardsInspect materials before, during, and after production to identify and address quality issuesMaintain equipment, tooling, and tools to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtimeDiagnose and resolve equipment and quality issues to reduce scrap and production delaysPerform housekeeping tasks to maintain clean and safe work areasComplete reports related to production, changeovers, and scrap materialAssist maintenance teams with equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activitiesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and safetyLead and promote safe work practices in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsWho You AreManufacturing or related industrial experience, preferredAbility to read, write, and maintain accurate production records and logsBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractionsExperience using measuring devices such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipersAbility to operate forklifts, cranes, and related equipment as requiredStrong attention to detail with problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and maintain consistent onsite attendancePhysical AbilitiesMove objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide sustained physical support without fatiguePerform constant movement requiring manual dexterity, coordination, and staminaRemain in a stationary position for extended periodsLift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull as requiredLift up to 60 poundsStand for 10–12 hours per shiftPerform work in a plant or manufacturing environmentWhat You’ll GetZekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental coverage.
