Building great things takes great execution in the field. Tekton is a full-service construction management and general contractor focused on serving southeastern Ohio and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for planning construction activities and general oversite of the jobsite. Your key responsibilities will include onsite personnel management, schedule control, cost control, and the overall onsite execution of the projects. As the Construction foreman, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. With your keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills, you will ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget. Your project execution abilities will be crucial in coordinating resources, resolving any issues that may arise, project cost tracking, change order management, required project correspondence and delivering successful construction projects.
Responsibilities
Oversee and direct construction projects onsite from conception to completion.
Oversee all onsite project construction activities to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
Develop and lead daily safety toolbox talks.
Coordinating construction activities in accordance with the schedule.
Coordinate and direct employees and subcontractors.
Monitor and maintain project schedules.
Monitor expenditures and align with project budget.
Meet contractual conditions of performance.
Perform onsite activities and job task as required.
Review and track onsite progress on daily basis and prepare weekly reporting.
Track and manage change directives at the project level.
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Assume additional responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements and skills
Min. 2 years working in a construction leadership role.
Proven working experience in commercial construction.
Knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficient with Microsoft office suite
Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Leadership and personnel management skills
Excellent time management skills.
Associate degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand and walk for long periods of time.
