We cultivate an innovation-driven culture where team members drive core breakthroughs in agentic AI and physical AI, pioneering how multi-agent robotic systems perceive, reason, and interact in dynamic environments.Our Values0 to 1: we share a pioneer/startup spirit and explore new directionsWork Fluid: we work collaboratively across the company and adapt to the terrainBuilders First: we are product-centric and focus on value creation for all customersAlways Be Learning: we learn from our failures/successes and are not afraid to experimentPeople Not Resources: we treat each other as humans, not robots, with respect, candor, and empathyPlanetary-scale Impact: we strive for all this hard work to result in positive impact at scaleThe OpportunityAt InOrbit.AI, we’re looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer to work directly with high-value enterprise customers and own the technical outcome of their deployments.This is a hands-on role at the intersection of software, robotics, AI, and real-world operations.What you’ll doYou’ll spend time in warehouses, factories, hospitals, and distribution centers, understand how the operation actually works, and build what’s needed.• Own customer deployments end-to-end, from setup and integrations through production• Build connectors, integrations, scripts, tooling, and dashboards• Work with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript• Integrate APIs and enterprise systems• Diagnose complex problems across software, networks, telemetry, and robot behavior• Work directly with operators, engineers, IT teams, and executive stakeholders• Automate repetitive work so deployments can scale• Bring recurring customer problems back to the product and engineering teamYou should have:• 3+ years of technical, customer-facing, or deployment experience• Experience writing and shipping production software• Experience deploying software in real-world enterprise environments• Strong Python skills; TypeScript/JavaScript experience• Experience with APIs, integrations, Linux, containers, cloud infrastructure, logs, or telemetry• The ability to take an ambiguous technical problem and drive it to resolution independently• Strong communication skills and a low-ego, highly collaborative approach• Comfortable using AI coding agents as part of their everyday development workflow.Strong pluses: robotics, ROS/ROS2, MQTT, robot fleet telemetry, warehouse/manufacturing systems (WMS/MES/ERP), industrial automation, or intralogistics.📍 US-based | ~30% travel to customer sites | Must reside within reasonable access to a major airport⚠️ Important: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or at any point in the future.
