Your role in our team
As a Maintenance Planner at WITRON, you will be the driving force behind efficient maintenance operations by ensuring all activities are strategically planned and executed. Your role is critical in balancing production priorities with maintenance needs, coordinating resources, and keeping our systems running reliably. Through effective scheduling and collaboration, you will help minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and support a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a talent for planning and coordinating complex maintenance activities in a dynamic environment. You thrive on balancing priorities, communicating clearly with cross-functional teams, and using data to make informed decisions. Your strong technical foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, combined with proficiency in CMMS and MS Office, enables you to create efficient schedules and optimize equipment reliability. You are proactive, solution-focused, and committed to safety and continuous improvement. You're also flexible and willing to travel occasionally (up to 5%) for training or support.
Qualifications
Post-secondary technical training (trade school or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical disciplines, with preference for electromechanical.
Skills/Experience Required:
In-depth knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment specifications, and preventative maintenance strategies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and develop proactive solutions
Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and maintenance planning systems (CMMS)
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, electrical symbols, and measurement techniques
Understanding of electrical/mechanical drive technology (motors, gears) and control systems (controls, inverters)
Solid foundation in mechanical maintenance principles and repair planning
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and activities to ensure optimal uptime and reliability
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance work with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
Coordinate maintenance schedules and planning with onsite team and centralized support teams
Create and maintain accurate work orders, including shift schedules, part assignments, and documentation of completed tasks
Prepare and organize technical information for maintenance tasks, such as drawings, procedures, and specifications
Monitor team performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to management
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and schedule development programs for the maintenance team
Provide leadership and support to the maintenance team through coaching, feedback, and recognition
Assist in developing reliability strategies focused on reducing downtime and improving equipment performance
Work closely with the Spare Parts Coordinator to ensure availability of required parts and tools; provide backup support when necessary
Estimate labor and material costs for planned maintenance activities
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and actively promote a safe work environment
Participate in health and safety programs and ensure housekeeping standards are met
Availability to travel up to 5% as required for training, or support
Perform other related duties as assigned
