Floor Scrubber Operator - 1st Shift

Maintains manufacturing equipment and building facilities and supports all preventative maintenance programs by performing, but not limited to, the following duties within an automotive environment.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for performing PM on all types of equipment or machinery per the PM schedulePerforms a variety of minor maintenance tasks as needed inside and outside of plant (standard and non-standard work)Performs daily plant walk and completes plant check listEnsures outside building perimeter is cleaned, picked up, sidewalk snow & ice maintenance and outside break areas maintainedResponsible for operating floor scrubber throughout the plant facility as scheduledWorks with various plant personnel to improve the overall cleanliness and order of the plant facility.Works on a variety of equipment including plumbing, piping, air systems, chillers, HVAC, building related repairs and other types of equipment as needed.Perform any other duties as assigned including, but not limited to production work, rework and or quality sorts, etc.Qualifications And RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must project a positive and energetic attitude, a strong willingness to learn, ability to analyze and solve problems.Must be self-motivated; requiring minimal supervisionMust be able to obtain a motorized vehicle (Floor Sweeper) license through Multimatic New Haven to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom lifts.Able to work at heightsAble to work in confined areasAble to work in both hot & cold environmentsAble to collaborate with other groups around the plant to drive improvementsAble to lift up to 50lbs, occasionallyEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEHigh School graduate or GEDDemonstrated organizational skills & experienceElectrical experience a plus but not requiredPlumbing experience a plus but not requiredMachining experience a plus but not requiredWelding experience a plus but not requiredHVAC experience a plus but not requiredCarpentry experience a plus but not requiredLanguage SkillsThe ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and work instructions.Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with simple mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Able to read fractions, tape measure, and understand rations and dilutions.REASONING ABILITYThe ability to apply common sense understanding of priorities, instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to feel or handle objects, tools, reach and lift with hands and arms, communicate, see and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be asked to work at various heights while using aerial platforms with appropriate PPE.The employee must be available during all hours if needed and have flexibility to work various shift hours if needed. The employee may be asked to work occasionally on weekends if needed.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe environmental demands described here are representative of those must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works near moving parts. The associate is frequently exposed to electromagnetic fields, risk of electric shock and vibration.
