We empower individuals and groups to forge meaningful connections and extend the reach of their travel budgets.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Back End Developer, based in Portland, OR. The Back End Developer will design, build, and maintain web application back-end systems, emphasizing performance, scalability, and reliability. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Supabase Edge Functions, PostgreSQL database architecture, real-time subscriptions, and Stripe payment integrations, ensuring system security and data protection, and collaborating with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to achieve seamless functionality. Adhering to software development best practices and contributing to troubleshooting and performance optimization will also be integral.Qualifications• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles• Familiarity with or exposure to Front-End Development tools and frameworks• Experience in designing scalable, secure, and efficient systems• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts effectively• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for back-end development• Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, or serverless edge functions is a plus• Familiarity with Deno runtime is a nice-to-have• Experience with cloud platforms, RESTful APIs, and database management is a plus
