Location: Miami, Florida Salary: Competitive Permanent Join Our Client’s Team as a Controller! About the Role: Our company is seeking a skilled Controller to join one of our clients’ Finance and Accounting teams, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. In this role, you’ll oversee various accounting functions such as revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and monthly and year-end closings. As the company experiences rapid growth, you’ll play a vital role in streamlining our financial processes and procedures. Day to Day Responsibilities: Manage general accounting functions including accounts payable, revenue recognition, and general ledger. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close activities. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies. Maintain and manage the company’s accounting system, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial data. Collaborate with auditors and tax accountants during audits and tax filing processes. Manage cash flow to meet operational needs. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Support communications with investors and other stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred. 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or tech company. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with NetSuite preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and executive presence. Flexibility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
