Join the Sargent Legacy in Securing our FutureWith continual growth comes opportunity and Sargent has an immediate opening for a CAD Designer II.Position SummaryThe CAD Designer II will report to the Engineering Technical Services Manager and is responsible for completing modeling and drawing tasks for creating engineering documentation in support of design, manufacturing and testing of mechanical and fluid power products within the Engineering Department. This role will collaborate with Project Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to complete assigned tasks. Conduct reviews of release package documentation prior to release into Sargent Systems.ResponsibilitiesEnsure Safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountabilityGenerate and change models and drawings using CAD software and following Sargent CAD DirectivesCheck models and drawings to verify adherence to Sargent CAD Directives and release requirementsComplete all required Windchill tasks associated with creating, changing, and/or releasing documentsUsing input provided by the Engineer in the form of marked drawings, prepare engineering layouts showing the relationship and arrangement of components for development of new productsApply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to define design requirements for manufacturing and inspectionPrepare complex sectional and/or external layouts to resolve envelope concerns, functional or interference problems with direction from the Project EngineerDetermine and implement dimensioning schemes and GD&T for engineering drawings with Engineer's directionCreate assembly layouts to verify local clearances between mating and adjacent partsGenerate Manufacturing and Tooling designs with direction from EngineerPerform tolerance and dimensional stackups of parts and assembliesCreate, update, and review Desktop Procedures for tasks completed within the CAD departmentMust be able to work as part of a team to complete assigned tasksMinimum QualificationsExperience: 3 years of experience in CAD related positionEducation: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in CAD ORAssociate degree in related field plus 5 years of related experience ORHigh School diploma or GED plus 7 years of related experienceDemonstrated CAD modeling abilityProficient in applying ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with Microsoft Office suite softwareMechanical aptitude displayed through personal hobbies/projectsMust be a U.S. CitizenPreferred QualificationsExperience with Creo and Windchill softwareFamiliarity with machining, metal forming, and manufacturing practicesFamiliarity with detail part inspection practicesApplication of dimensions and GD&T for precision componentsFamiliarity with Hydraulic components and assembliesRBC Bearings Incorporated (NYSE: RBC/RBCP) is a leading international manufacturer of highly engineered precision bearings, components and essential systems for the industrial, defense and aerospace industries.
