Maintenance Technician

Essential Functions: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.) Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, plant facilities, company trucks and trailers. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities, including snow removal as needed. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Maintain list of supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience. Attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle multiple tasks Ability to climb, kneel, reach, stand for long periods, walk long distances, push, pull, and lift up to 50 llbs. Read, write and speak English Must successfully pass a background check and drug test Ability to work 7am - 3:30pm M-F Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings on as needed basis is required About D-A: Founded in 1919 and headquartered in Indiana, D-A Lubricant manufactures commercial and consumer products ranging from engine oils and transmission fluids to extreme-pressure gear lubricants, greases and hydraulic fluids.
