Senior Accountant - hybrid remote

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a well-rounded role that blends core accounting responsibilities with process improvement and visibility to leadership, all while enjoying strong work/life balance and Fridays off during the summer.If you’re looking to do meaningful work in a collaborative environment without sacrificing flexibility, this role delivers.What You’ll Be Responsible For:Oversee accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on scheduleManage and support payroll processing for around 80 employees using ADP Workforce NowPerform payroll-related reconciliations and prepare associated journal entriesPrepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledgerAssist with month-end close, including reconciliations and financial reviewDocument existing workflows and help enhance accounting policies and proceduresLeverage Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and data analysisCollaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvementsWhat They’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of hands-on accounting experienceExperience with Blackbaud Financial Edge OR a background in nonprofit accountingExposure to both accounts payable and payroll processingStrong Excel and overall systems proficiencyAnalytical mindset with the ability to think beyond day-to-day tasksSelf-starter who can work independently and contribute to a team
