Compensation: To $180,000 + bonusJob Overview - Director of Accounting - 34157Our Global client is seeking an accomplished Director of Accounting to lead their North American accounting operations. This senior leadership role requires a CPA with a proven track record in complex, global financial environments and deep expertise in IFRS and technical accounting. Reporting directly to the SVP of Accounting, this individual will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Company's accounting function. The role combines hands-on execution with high-level business partnership, playing a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the Company's ongoing growth initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the North American corporate accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the Company's largest divisionOversee the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation, review, and continuous improvement of close deliverablesPartner with Corporate and International Accounting teams to manage consolidations, intercompany transactions, and eliminationsPerform detailed review and analysis across key accounting areas, including revenue recognition, cost of sales, licensing, accounts receivable and reserves, inventory, and affiliate accountingEnsure completion and accuracy of all balance sheet reconciliations and underlying documentationCollaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, and other departments to support executive reporting and business insightsSupport and lead aspects of the external audit process in coordination with Corporate AccountingBuild, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team, including hiring, coaching, and performance managementEstablish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellenceDrive process improvements across the financial close and reporting cycle to enhance efficiency and scalabilityPartner with the SVP of Accounting on strategic initiatives and special projectsLead, mentor, and develop both direct and indirect reportsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting (required)CPA certification (required)12-15+ years of progressive experience across public accounting, financial reporting, and corporate consolidationsStrong expertise in IFRS and technical accounting (including revenue recognition)Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and manage high-performing teamsAdvanced Excel skillsMaster's degree in Accounting or Business preferreBackground in public accounting preferredExperience with Oracle preferredAdditional Job DetailsWorkplace Policy: #li-HybridSeniority Level: ExecutiveLinked In Poster: #LI-TC1About our ProcessWe will notify you if you are selected as a candidate for this role.
