We are seeking an additional team member to help with Prototyping and CNC Programming; a dedicated individual with good work ethics that is seeking a long-term career with a stable company.Summary: Provides cradle-to-grave machining process development for R&D projects.Pay Range: $40-50/hourEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop roadmap for prototyping departmentCollaborate with Engineering on quoting R&D/Development jobs, provide feedback on manufacturing feasibilityCommunicate time estimates and work progress to R&D project stakeholdersDeliver and prove out comprehensive programming, setup, and machining of R&D and production parts using 5 axis Matsuura, Haas UMC and Haas VF millsProduce supporting job documentation to ensure processes can be repeated by operatorsDesign and manufacture fixtures for process repeatabilityProduce Renishaw Probe routines to help maximize productivity and automate quality effortsRegularly communicate with QC personnel to promote metrology skills between departmentsWrite CMM inspection programs for R&D/Development jobsAdjust machining strategies to optimize production while maintaining qualityTroubleshoot and resolve problems with machines and machine processes as they ariseOperate CNCs for production work to help meet ramps in demandSupervisory Responsibilities: Not currently. But as the programming/prototyping grows, this position will have direct reportsEducation and/or Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years programming with MastercamAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical schoolA minimum of 4 years of working experience in manufacturing or engineering technicians; or a minimum of 6 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and understand component technical manuals.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
