Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Project Coordinator in support of its client, the OI&T Health Informatics Product Line at Department of Veterans Affairs Clinical informatics and Data Management sub Product Line. This role is a fully remote, U.S.-based position, with core hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET.
Responsibilities
Candidate will assist in project coordination activities and disseminate information to Clinical Informatics & Data Management sub-product line team members, as well as key stakeholders and senior leaders in the Health Informatics product line and Health Services Portfolio through clear and effective communication channels. In addition, the coordinator will focus on collaboration with staff with respect to facilitating release management activities, manage the intake requests for all products, and participate in process improvement initiatives. The environment is dynamic and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.
Streamline operations, manage timelines, ensure project success, as well as record project initiatives
Oversee intake processes: incoming requests, assignment, and communications
Assist Leadership, Project Managers and Product Managers with projects (kick offs through closing), reports, presentations, and intake requests
Coordinate project activities and timelines across cross-functional teams
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and quality to our customers.Collaborate in resource allocation, capacity planning, and team coordination to optimize project workflows
Support Agile project management processes and methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews
Facilitate project intake meetings, status updates, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement
Review and provide support as needed for Kanban and Jira tracking, updates, and reporting
Collaborate and interact well with others and develop and manage high-quality professional deliverables on projects and tasks
Conduct gap analysis to determine strengths of current approaches and identify opportunities for improvement
Performs other duties and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned in support of organizational priorities
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 5 years of experience. (or 8 years commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, highly organized, and detail oriented
Experience working independently to conduct research with minimal guidance and supervision
Ability to understand a diverse set of communication styles and respond in a way that will resonate with a multi-functional audience
Familiarity and general knowledge and understanding of the product release management process
Familiarity and general knowledge and understanding of the product intake process
Familiar and experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe and Scrum
Familiarity and experience using Jira
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and time management skills
Familiarity in documenting project requirements and making updates to key project/product artifacts with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Familiarity with the basic components of project management: Planning/scheduling, reporting, risk management, project coordination, time management/deadlines and documentation
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite such as (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, MS Teams, and Outlook).
Clearance Required:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience within a Health IT environment is preferred, but not required.
Experience beyond the basic level with Jira, GitHub, and SNOW is preferred, but not required.
Experience with Project Management Risk and Issue identification, and documentation is preferred, but not required.
Experience beyond the basic level with Product Management Lifecycle is preferred, but not required.
Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs is preferred, but not required.
Experience beyond the basic level supporting release management, in an Agile environment, is preferred, but not required.
Experience beyond the basic level supporting risk management, in an Agile environment, is preferred, but not required.
Experience beyond the basic level supporting product management intake processes and teams is preferred, but not required.
Experience tracking timelines and performance progress is preferred, but not required.
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills is preferred, but not required.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat PRO.
Posted Salary Range
USD $84,000.00 - USD $94,000.00 /Yr.
