Financial Business Analyst – New Jersey
This hybrid position requires onsite presence 2 days a week with occasional travel to New York.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business users, product owners, operations teams, and technology stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility studies for new initiatives or enhancements.
Engage with diverse stakeholder groups including business units, technology teams, vendors, and senior leadership.
Facilitate workshops, conduct requirement walkthroughs, and manage expectations across cross‑functional teams.
Act as the primary liaison between business and IT to ensure alignment and clarity.
Support end‑to‑end project lifecycle including planning, testing, UAT coordination, and go‑live readiness.
Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints within interconnected systems and propose mitigation strategies.
Prepare process maps, workflow diagrams, functional specifications, and user guides.
Communicate effectively through presentations, reports, and dashboards.
Maintain clear and structured documentation to support audit, compliance, and knowledge management.
Banking Domain Expertise
Work extensively with core banking processes such as retail / corporate banking operations, payments (NEFT/RTGS/SWIFT/IMPS), loans & credit products, risk, compliance, and regulatory reporting, and customer onboarding & KYC/AML.
Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations, risk controls, and audit requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services domain.
Strong understanding of banking products, operations, regulations, and digital transformation.
Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
Proficiency with BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, SQL basics.
Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage complex business ecosystems.
This position is hybrid, onsite 2 days a week in New Jersey with occasional travel to NY.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with API‑based integrations, digital banking platforms, or core banking systems (Finacle, Flexcube, Temenos, etc.).
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Central Bank guidelines, Basel norms, AML/KYC regulations.
Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, Agile BA, Scrum Master, or equivalent.
