Member Services Desk Staff - Mornings and Afternoons

Pay: $14.00 per hourJob Summary:Ensures the best possible member and guest satisfaction through a welcoming friendly and positive manner; receives and welcomes people as they enter the JCC (or Health and Wellness Area) either physically or via the telephone; confirms membership status; accurately manages point of sale transaction; triages deliveries and responds to member and guest inquiries. Communicates and works well with teammates and cross functional partners.The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality while providing an excellent and efficient customer service experience. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information about the Center, events, and programming. A customer-oriented approach is essential in addition to strong computer skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Primary functions include welcoming and engaging members and guestsMaintain a safe and secure facility by ensuring member check-in procedures are followedAddress member concerns in a professional mannerUtilize member database to confirm member status, point of sale, etc.Balance cash drawer accurately after each shiftBe knowledgeable about programs and procedures throughout the JCCExceed expectations when providing members/guests with requested informationPromptly refer member/guests to appropriate staff and/or JCC departmentDeliver outstanding customer service in a friendly, polite and diplomatic mannerPromptly and accurately direct all telephone inquiriesLearn and maintain working knowledge of JCC emergency procedures planAll other duties as assignedQualifications:Excellent in-person and over the phone customer service skillsEfficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneouslyProfessional manner, discretion, and appearanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEnergetic, enthusiastic, and motivatedStrong computer skills, experience with databases and/or Microsoft suite a plusTimely and reliableJob Type: Part-time (10-20 hours per week)Benefits:Employee discountWork Location: In personOn TARC route 23 and 40x.
