If the deadline is extended, we will update this posting.Overview Of RoleReporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be a member of the Testing team within Product Development. The BOA Test Laboratory and the Testing Team provide crucial support to Product Development’s goals in developing, improving and sustaining the highest quality products. You will work closely with different teams around the department and fulfill test requests for a variety of BOA standard and non-standard testing practices. You will also assist in the execution of testing needs for Development, Field Testing, Product Qualification Programs, and any needs of the Testing Laboratory itself.Core ResponsibilitiesReflect and role model BOA’s vision, values and Leadership Model and demonstrate passion for our mission across the Product Development team and rest of the organizationWork with Engineers to perform standard strength/performance tests per existing testing standards and processesComplete accurate testing results reports and maintain electronic file organizationHelp develop testing and documentation methodsSupport the maintenance and organization of the Testing LaboratoryConduct basic machining tasks under direct supervision of the Shop SupervisorHelp with fixture design and assemblyHelp with new equipment procurement, existing equipment maintenance and the replacement of standard tools as neededEnsure tools and fixtures are organized and easy to findContinuously seek out opportunities for growth, both personally and professionallyRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentProficiency in all Microsoft Office ApplicationsProficiency with hand tools and general machining equipmentFamiliarity with general measurement practices using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.Desire to use your mechanical aptitude to build a deep understanding of our products Desired QualificationsAssociate degree in a related field (Engineering Technology)Knowledge or experience with mechanical laboratory equipment (tensile test frame, environmental chamber, etc)CAD proficiency (we use OnShape)Knowledge of processes for plastic injection molding and small metal parts manufacturingUnderstanding of basic statistical analysisOverview Of Compensation And BenefitsBudgeted salary range: $55,000 - $66,200We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees with similar experience in the same or similar roleThis role is also eligible for a 10% annual bonusComprehensive healthcare plans including Medical, Dental and VisionAll plans include subsidization from BOA, with one option 100% subsidized by BOABOA also funds HSA accounts for enrolled employees3 weeks PTO to start, paid family leave, sick leave, and volunteer time offMatching 401K retirement planAnnual cash benefits for fitness, wellness, and BOA productsEligibility for stock options within 6 months of employmentScholarship opportunities for further educationLearning and development opportunitiesDiscounts on many outdoor gear brandsDog-friendly officePhysical Considerations for RoleRoleWe welcome any requests for reasonable accommodations.
